a homeschool blog's start

This year I decided to try out "the Story of the World" with our large , homeschooling family. Hopefully i will be able to chronicle our journey well....

We are staring with book 1, on Cd. I also bought the activity book. Our family is composed of Me (MOM) and DH (working from home upstairs), K (12 doing 6th grade), T (11 also doing 6th grade) , L (8 doing 3rd grade), S (5 doing 1st grade), R (4 doing pre-K), W (2 and making messes), and arriving in September O (who will be mostly nursing and sleeping). Obviously our house is dynamic and busy and ever changing. I am trying to apply the SOTW to all the kids 1st and up, and the other subjects are age/grade related. We are on a M-Th school week, ,mostly year round. We leave Fridays for Library and field trips.
